Main tasks and responsibilities
- Take ownership of the development of innovative automation solutions to make food production safer, more accessible and more sustainable
- Collaborate with international multi-disciplinary engineering teams to develop prototypes, products and technologies
- Take designs from proof of concept and prototyping to full-scale industrialization
- Work alongside industry leading experts and influential managers
- Develop innovative mechanical concepts and generate detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing
- Collaborate with our in-house machine shop and external suppliers during prototype and first series production
- Keep up with the latest industry trends and technologies related to the role
Education and experience
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably a Master degree
- Proven experience (4 years min.) in mechanical design of industrial automation solutions
- Proficiency in CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) for 3D modeling and manufacturing drawings
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and methods
- Experience with product development
- Strong understanding of hygienic design principles and regulations for food or pharmaceutical industries or willingess to learn
- Background in industrial design is a big plus
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative design solutions
